It s estimated that 70 percent of adults in the United States have experienced a traumatic event at least once in their lives. This can take many forms including abuse, natural disasters, war, terrorism or violent encounters. The Trauma Counseling Certificate helps you provide better care for those you serve. Beginning with a detailed exploration of what defines trauma, then moving to assessing current methods of interventions and applications, this two-course online program builds a strong foundation of knowledge in both the theoretical and practical aspects of trauma counseling. ATSS membership offers members an opportunity to gain professional recognition (international certification) within a trauma specialty. Each of the three ATSS certifications recognize the existing and acquired experience, knowledge, skill, education, training, and trauma specialty of our members and are all equal in value. Now, more that ever, current events including natural disasters, acts of mass violence and terrorism, require the support of trauma specialists who have demonstrated appropriate care and outreach to traumatized populations and have earned recognition for their unique expertise! ATSS certification recognition is an important statement of professional commitment to a growing field ATSS certification indicates to your employer that you are serious and committed to professional growth in traumatic stress services. ATSS certification offers increased value through measured expertise and credibility to employers, practitioners, and survivors.

A full refund is issued to participants if the SCE cancels a program. If a participant withdraws at least 10 business days prior to the start of a program, a 100% refund will be issued. If a participant withdraws less than 10 business days prior to the program start, one transfer of fees to any current available course is allowed; otherwise, the participants will receive a refund minus a 20% admin fee. PLEASE NOTE:

Most employers are required to report certain employment information to the State of Wisconsin, including quarterly wage information for their employees. Students whose information could not be verified in this database are excluded from these outcomes. If a "0" shows for any of these outcomes, it means that none of the students' information could be verified.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
